I love giving my blog a facelift. The cutest blog place is so much fun. I also add a little blinking thing. It is about reading. I LOVE to read. No I haven't read the Twilight books...Yet. Just waiting on my friend Cilla to finish the first one and pass it on. She made the mistake of seeing the movie and now is having a hard time finishing it. So I wait.
Lori....since you are probably the only one who reads my blog, you should check out that cutest blog page. It has all kinds of cute backgrouns. Bet you could get one with soccer for John or trains for Alex.

Thanksgiving...something to think about
There are so many things in our lives to be thankful for. Today, I was reading an email from a teacher at school. The email was from an administrator at another school. The person had been working at a local church to pass out thanksgiving dinner supplies to families in need. The person stated that he was expecting people to be cheery and excited, but instead he saw his own students coming with their families to get their dinner. There heads were hung down and they were so sad. He even had a student come in by himself because his parents were too embarressed to come in.
I am thankful that God has blessed me with so much. He gave me a savior, a beautiful healthy child, family and friends, the money to have thanksgiving dinner. There are so many less fortunate than me. I had to ask myself if I saw those people who were less fortunate? Do I truly know who they are? Did I do anything to help them or to show them Christ's love? This made me realize how much I need to love my students. I am in a mission field daily. Most of my students have less than I do. Do I show them Christ's love daily? Do I do my job as when I know God is always there watching?
I have a lot to think about over this Thanksgiving. I hope that you a wonderful thanksgiving and get to spend time with your family.

Blogging for Kids
In activity today, I went to pick up my students. They were blogging with their activity teacher. I couldn't believe how cool this is! The kids log into our school website and they can respond to blogs posted by their teachers. Now this is going to be so incredibly awesome to use in my classroom. Today I asked them how we could use this tool in our classroom. It is going to be great to put a math problem on their and let them comment and put their answer. I am so excited.

Things are getting crazy!!
Well, it is almost holiday season and apparently it is going to be unbelieveable this year. It isn't even November and this week has been insane. Monday, Trey had his speech evaluation for the school district. It went really well and he qualified. I found out that he would only be getting 30 min a week and I was a little disappointed because now he is getting 1 hour. We are trying to get the medicaid stuff finalized so he can continue at the outpatient place with Stacy one other day a week. This will all depend on if we get medicaid. For the month of September speech ws $3,544. We don't pay that because we have Babynet, but you can imagine why we can't afford 1 day a week.
Then yesterday I had to get ugly with the Babynet woman because she is completely incompetent and I have had trouble all year with her. I am moving past that. I also had to cry to my principal(which wasn't hard considering the episode with the Babynet woman!) to get the day off to take Trey to the Craniofacial team in November. We have been waiting 6 months for this visit and they only come once a month because the docs are from Columbia and chalreston. You teachers will appreciate this...The SACS committe is coming that week and heaven forbid us have something to do with our children. Our actual visit is the day before his appointment so I was able to take off, but really. I guess I can't be a mom anymore because my life should revolve around this school district. I am waiting for Michael to win a million so I can stay home or really just work somewhere else. I told him this and he laughed. I wasn't joking. It wasn't meant to be funny!!
Trey and I will be by ourselves this weekend. There is a singing at the Beach and I have NO desire to go. So we are going to clean the house, play outside and visit with friends. Should be a fun weekend!!

Apple Picking
The Anderson's traveled to Flat Rock, NC to visit the Sky Top orchard. BIG Mistake! It was a beautiful day and there were a million people there. Poor Trey! His parents are SOOOOOOO not people people. We stayed long enough to get apples, a pumpkin and let Trey slide. Then we were out of there. We then went into Hendersonville and looked around. It was a fun day.
Trey had a rough sunday. He woke up from his nap around 5:30 and came into the bathroom where I was IN the bathtub. He was rubbing his chest and I asked him if he was ok. He just stood there and proceeded to throw up everywhere. I was naked and screaming for Michael. I used my towel to catch throw up and Michael slept on the couch..:0 Anyway, he was pretty sick last night and is staying with his Grandmom today. Pray that he feels better and the rest of us stay healthy!!

I'm Back!!!!
I have decided to resurrect my blog....not sure why, but I thought that I would. It has been a very long time since I wrote anything, so many things have changed quit a bit.
Trey is getting so big. He is 24 pounds and growing like a weed. He is still on 6 month visits at the cardiologist which is wonderful. He was also released from the immunologist because he was doing so well. He hasn't been sick in a while. I think he had 1 sinus infection over the summer or it may have been before school was out of school last year.
I am teaching 4th grade this year. I looped up with my same students. So far it is good. I love the kids, but it is tough learning a new grade level. 4th grade is pretty tough.
On a side note, I almost died this morning for those of you who read this. I was coming down Brezeale road and a guy ran the red light there. I fortunately saw him and he didn't hit me. He then proceed to go in the other lane to pass cars. He was probably going around 80. I decided that if he had an emergency he needed his flashers on, but it didn't give him the right to run a red light. This of course got me rattled and as I was at the red light by the post office, I realized that I had morning duty. I got a little worried that today wouldn't be a great day, but it has been fine so far.
